Daily COVID-19 Caseload in Odisha Inches Towards 5K; 703 From Khurda

Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw over 4000 fresh COVID-19 infections for the third consecutive day on Wednesday with 4851 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

According to the I & PR department, the new cases have been reported from all 30 districts. Among them, 2814 are from quarantine and 2037 local contact cases.

Khurda reported the highest of 703 cases followed by Sundargarh (516), Nuapada (486), Bargarh (318), Cuttack (304) and Jharsuguda (290).

These cases were detected from 38,548 samples tested for COVID-19.

With this, Odisha now has 30,927 active cases.
