Bhubaneswar: With returnees in Odisha’s Gajapati district testing corona positive even after completing 14 days in temporary medical camps (TMCs), the district administration on Monday decided to extend the institutional quarantine period to 21 days.
Talking to mediapersons here, Gajapati Collector Anupam Saha said any migrant Odias returning to the district will have to stay at TMCs for 21 days, following which they will be discharged if found with no symptoms of COVID-19 and provided with Rs 1000.
“They will be paid the remaining Rs 1000 only after completion of the 7-day home quarantine period,” he added.
