Sambalpur: Taking note of the rise in COVID-19 positive cases, the authorities of the Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) at Burla on Saturday closed the varsity for four days.
Stating that the university will remain closed from September 26-29, VSSUT vice-chancellor Atal Chaudhury said the entire campus of the university will be completely sanitised.
He said that to contain the spread of coronavirus, all employees of the university office have been asked to strictly adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines.
It may be mentioned that the university had remained closed for seven days from July 15 to 21 after some employees tested positive for the virus.
