COVID-19 Patient Gives Birth To Twins In Odisha

Berhampur: A woman, who had tested positive for COVID-19 after returning from Surat, delivered twins at the MKCG Medical College and Hospital here on Wednesday.

According to sources, she was admitted to the special COVID-19 ward of the hospital after she complained of labour pain and gave birth to a baby boy and girl. The health condition of both the woman patient and her twins is stable.

The woman had returned to Ganjam with her husband from Surat recently. She was shifted to a COVID hospital after testing positive for the deadly virus.

Another Surat returnee woman had delivered a baby boy at an institutional quarantine at Mardakota Harihar High School under Beguniapada block in Ganjam district the previous day.
