New Delhi: Nearly 125 families residing on Rashtrapati Bhavan premises have been asked to remain in self-isolation after kin of a sanitation worker there tested positive for coronavirus.
“A week ago, a sanitation worker’s daughter-in-law’s mother died of COVID-19, following which the family went into self-isolation. However, after the daughter-in-law was tested positive, 125 families were asked to remain in isolation,” a report published in News18 said.
India has so far reported 17,656 COVID-19 cases. While the virus has claimed 559 lives, 2,851 people have recovered from the disease.
