Bhubaneswar: The offices of Sub-Collector, Tehsildar and Sub-Registrar at Kalpana Square in the Odisha capital will remain shut for the next 48 hours.
The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), in a letter, said that these offices have to be closed for 48 hours to allow the civic body to sanitise the premises.
All employees of these offices have been asked to work from home till the building is adequately disinfected, the letter added.
Sources attributed the decision to the detection of COVID-19 cases in these offices.
Bhubaneswar has so far reported 5,289 COVID-19 cases and 170 among them in the last 24 hours.
