Bhubaneswar: Putting all speculation at rest, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Rajan Dash on Friday clarified that there were no plans to reschedule matriculation and Plus II examinations in view of COVID-19 second wave in Odisha.
“ The examinations will be held as per the previously announced dates,” he said.
The Class X theory exams will be held from May 3 to 15 and practical exams from April 28. Similarly, the Plus II theory examinations will be held from May 18 to June 12 while the practical examinations will be held from April 29 to May 8.

He further added that the number of examination centres across the state will be increased.
This comes against the backdrop of demand by Class X and XII students to either cancel board exams or conduct them in online mode following a rise in COVID-19 cases. The hashtag “cancelboardexams2021” was also trending on Twitter for a couple of days.
