Cuttack: The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Saturday confirmed about 11 new COVID-19 cases being detected in the city in the last 24 hours.
According to the CMC tweet, five of these cases, which includes patients and attendants of Acharya Harihara Post Graduate Institute of Cancer, have been detected in institutional quarantine. One corona warrior and five staff of a private nursing home at Chauliganj area have also tested positive for the virus. All six are linked to a previous know positive case.

With these fresh cases, the COVID-19 tally in the city has touched 116. While the virus has claimed two lives, 22 have recovered from the infection.
Meanwhile, Malisahi in Ranihat area has been declared as a containment zone for contact tracing and active surveillance.
