Bhubaneswar: The downward trend of daily COVID-19 positive cases in the city continued on Wednesday as 59 persons tested positive for the disease in the last 24 hours.
While 63 new positive cases were detected on Tuesday, 70 persons had contracted the virus the day before, according to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Of the new cases, 5 were detected in quarantines while 54 were locals contacts. As many as 75 persons have recovered from the disease.
With the day’s addition, the total positive cases have gone up to 29,896 in the capital city. While 185 persons have died, 28928 patients have recovered from the disease. There are 762 active cases at present.
