India’s Case Fatality Rate (CFR) of 1.86 per cent is one of the lowest globally.

The COVID-19 toll in India now stands at 58,390.

Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh have reported the highest number of cases. However, infections are rising rapidly in states like Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.

About 75.9 per cent (24,04,585) people have recovered from the infection with 66,550 patients being discharged on Monday. Another 22.20 per cent (7,04,348) are still under treatment.

The number of recovered people are more than three times the number of active cases in the country.
