Bhubaneswar: Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan took to Twitter to address concerns surrounding COVID-19 vaccination.
Here are the top myths he busted:
1. Can COVID-19 vaccine induce infertility in men and women?
Vardhan said there is no scientific evidence to suggest so and infertility is also not caused by COVID-19 disease. He asked people to stick to official channels for information and not pay heed to rumours and information from unverified sources.
2. Can one contract COVID-19 from the vaccine?
It is not possible. But if you have caught COVID-19 and not realized you have the symptoms until after your vaccination appointment. There are temporary side-effects such as mild fever and these should not be confused as having contracted the disease.
3. Side-effects of the COVID-19 vaccines?
Some individuals may have temporary side-effects such as mild fever and pain at the site of injection and body ache.
