Sundargarh: With an aim to break the COVID-19 chain and educate Paudi Bhuyan tribe on the infectious disease, Sundargarh district authorities has started an awareness campaign.
Stressing on tracing, testing and isolation, the health workers, ASHAs, anganwadi workers and social activists are undertaking doorstep survey.
The health workers are measuring oxygen level and noting down body temperatures of the Paudi Bhuyan tribals. Coronavirus tests are being conducted on those who have developed symptoms.
The district administration has set up Temporary Medical Camps (TMCs) to keep the patients in isolation. Those found with severe COVID symptoms are shifted to COVID Care Centres at Bonai and Rourkela Government COVID hospital.
The Paudi Bhuyan staying in home isolation are being provided rice, dal, oil and dry food. A rapid response team has also been kept ready to take care of those in home isolation.
