COVID Deaths In Odisha Drops Below 40 After 12 Days

Bhubaneswar: The number of deaths due to COVID in Odisha dropped below 40 on Thursday with 39 more patients succumbing to the deadly disease.

The state had been reporting over 40 COVID deaths for the past 12 days in a row with the highest-ever single-day spike of 47 on June 12.

According to the Health Department, the fresh fatalities have been reported from 14 districts.

Khurda reported the highest of six deaths, followed by four each from Cuttack, Jharsuguda, Puri, and Sundargarh, three each from Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, and Kalahandi, two each from Boudh and Sonepur, and one each from Bargarh, Dhenkanal, Nabarangpur, and Nuapada.

The deceased have been identified as:

1.A 30 years old Male of Baragarh District.

2.A 52 years old Female of Boudh District. 3.A 34 years old Male of Boudh District.

4.A 34 years old Male of Bhubaneswar.

5.A 98 years old Male of Bhubaneswar.

6.A 52 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

7.A 93 years old Female of Bhubaneswar.

8.A 46 years old Male of Cuttack District.

9.A 64 years old Male of Cuttack District.

10.A 60 years old Male of Cuttack District.

11.A 50 years old Female of Cuttack District.

12.A 47 years old Male of Dhenkannal District.

13.A 56 years old Male of Ganjam District.

14.A 30 years old Male of Ganjam District.

15.A 54 years old Female of Ganjam District.

16.A 39 years old Male of Jagatsinghpur District.

17.A 54 years old Male of Jagatsinghpur District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

18.A 37 years old Male of Jagatsinghpur District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

19.A 60 years old Male of Jharsuguda District.

20.A 55 years old Male of Jharsuguda District.

21.A 60 years old Female of Jharsuguda District who was also suffering from Hypertension.

22.A 36 years old Female of Jharsuguda District who was also suffering from Hypertension.

23.A 75 years old Female of Kalahandi District.

24.A 60 years old Male of Kalahandi District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension.

25.A 45 years old Male of Kalahandi District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension.

26.A 40 years old Female of Khordha District.

27.A 76 years old Male of Khordha District.

28.A 47 years old Female of Nabarangapur District.

29.A 43 years old Male of Nuapada District who was also suffering from Obesity.

30.A 41 years old Female of Puri District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

31.A 42 years old Male of Puri District. 3

2.A 40 years old Male of Puri District.

33.A 70 years old Male of Puri District.

34.A 35 years old Male of Sonepur  District.

35.A 78 years old Male of Sonepur District who was also suffering from Hypertension.

36.A 45 years old Male of Sundargarh District who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney disease.

37.A 46 years old Male of Sundargarh District who was also suffering from Hypertension.

38.A 29 years old Male of Sundargarh District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

39.A 52 years old Male of Sundargarh District.

With this, the COVID toll in Odisha has touched 3471.
