COVID Fallout: IPL Suspended Indefinitely!
Mumbai: Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 has been suspended indefinitely after many players tested positive for COVID-19, NDTV quoted BCCI sources as saying on Tuesday.
A day earlier on Monday, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bowling coach and former India pacer Lakshmipathy Balaji, franchise CEO Kasi Viswanathan and a cleaner of the team bus tested positive for COVID-19. All players, however, tested negative for the deadly virus.

As per IPL protocol, the CSK squad has been put in isolation. Beside these personnel, one SunRisers Hyderabad player has tested positive and the entire team has been put in isolation, said sources.
The news came hours after it was revealed that two Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) players — Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier — had contracted coronavirus after the latest round of testing, according to an ESPN Cricinfo report.
