Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Assembly was shut for a day on Friday after parents of an employee tested positive for COVID-19, informed Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro.
“It will remain closed during the weekend shutdown in the city. A decision on the future course of action will be taken on Monday,” he added.
Odisha reported a record spike of 755 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the affected tally to 11956 on Friday. The death toll rose to 56 with four more patients succumbing to the virus.
