Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded its highest ever surge in daily COVID-19 cases on Friday with 12,238 new infections reported in the last 24 hours.
With the new cases, the state’s COVID-19 tally rose to 5,12,400. As of Friday morning, the number of active cases in Odisha stood at 86,950.
Among the districts, the highest number of cases were recorded in Sundargarh with 2,073 new infections followed by Khurda (1,828) and Cuttack (916).
