COVID Vaccination In Odisha: Frontline Warriors Registration Extended Till Jan 31

Bhubaneswar: The vaccination of over 3.5 lakh health workers against COVID-19 in Odisha is scheduled to be completed on February 10 and the immunization process of frontline warriors will begin after their registration.

Informing this to media on Tuesday, Director, Health and Family Welfare, Bijay Panigrahi said out of total of 3,50,726 health workers registered for the vaccination, 1,77,090 have been vaccinated till Monday while that of the remaining 1,73,636 health workers will begin from Wednesday and continue till February 10.

“For the vaccination of 1,73,636 health workers, the districts will submit the micro-planning on where, when and how many health workers will be vaccinated. As decided, the vaccination will be conducted in Bhubaneswar and 28 out of 30 districts on Wednesday. The registered health workers, who have not been vaccinated, will be called in phases for the taking the jab,” Panigrahi said.

On the registration of the frontline COVID warriors, he said the registration of these warriors of the two departments—Revenue and Disaster Management and Housing & Urban Development—which was scheduled to be completed on Tuesday, has been extended to January 31.
