Bhubaneswar: The police is leaving no stone unturned to ensure a safe and incident-free Holi. An advisory by the Commissionerate Police said that adequate security arrangements will be made in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar during Holi celebration.
The police will conduct raids to test chemicals in colours. PCR vans will be used for mobile patrolling and traffic enforcement will also be intensified to check speed biking and noise pollution, informed Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty on Wednesday.
The Commissionerate Police has asked the State Pollution Control Board to deploy staff for conducting raids and checking the use of chemicals in colours.
“For security purposes, 16 special mobile patrol teams will be active in Bhubaneswar and eight teams will be active in Cuttack. Armed picketing will be conducted at 28 places and striking force along with ODRAF teams deployed at four sensitive places in Bhubaneswar,” said Mohanty.
