Bhubaneswar: The Crime Branch on Thursday produced the expelled BJD leader and Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi in the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court after the end of the two-day remand.
Prior to producing Panigrahi in the court, the Crime Branch officials took him to the Capital Hospital for his medical examination.
Asked about the interrogation by the investigating agency on his complicity in the alleged job fraud at Tata Motors, Panigrahi told the media to keep patience. “Just wait and see. I will give the details to you,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Crime Branch began the interrogation of Sarbeswar Rao, a close associate of Panigrahi in connection with the job fraud case.
Notably, David Peter, the personal assistant of Akash Pathak, had told the Crime Branch that Rao was the mediator between Akash Pathak and Pradeep Panigrahi and collecting money from the job aspirants.
