Bhubaneswar: Bad news continued to pour in on the COVID-19 front with the CRPF DIG of Bhubaneswar Group Centre, Sunil Kumar Parth, succumbing to the disease at a private hospital in the Odisha capital on Wednesday night. He was 54.
CRPF sources said Parth was admitted to hospital on April 26 after he tested positive for the virus.
“He was a great leader and source of inspiration for all ranks. His dedication bore tangible results during the first wave of pandemic and not a single casualty occurred on the Bhubaneswar CRPF campus. His untimely and sudden death is an irreparable loss and has sent a shock wave in the force. He will be remembered for his good work and noble personality”, said a release by the CRPF Group Centre.
