Bhubaneswar: The Award of Excellence was won by the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT), Bhubaneswar, for the implementation of the best urban transport project — Odisha’s MoBus service.
The Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs gave the award to CRUT in the category of Running Trophy for the State/UT — which has implemented Best Urban Transport Project during the previous year — to mark the 14th Urban Mobility India Conference 2021 held on Friday.
On behalf of CRUT, General Manager Dipti Mahapatro received the award.
A total of 225 MoBuses are operated by the CRUT by adopting and implementing a policy of hiring more than half of its bus conductors as women.
Automatic Vehicle Locating System, Automatic Fare Collection System, Public Information System, onboard announcement, WiFi and CCTV surveillance are there in all buses.
