Cuttack: The season’s first dengue death was reported from SCB Medical College and Hospital here on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Som Prakash Mishra, a native of Bihar. He was staying in Paradip for the past few years.
Mishra was admitted to the central ICU of SCB on Tuesday. He succumbed to the viral infection around 3:30 this morning following deterioration in his health condition.
At present, 13 dengue patients are undergoing treatment at the SCB. Of these, two have been admitted to the central ICU of the hospital, reports said.
