Cuttack Trader Murder: Gangster Dhalasamant Brothers Associate On The Run For 7 Years Nabbed
Cuttack: Seven years after the murder of a trader at Malgodown here, the Commissionerate Police on Wednesday nabbed one more accused from the city railway station.
Commissioner of Police (CP) Soumendra Priyadarshi identified the accused as Dipak Nayak, a close associate of the gangster Dhalasamant brothers. “He had been absconding after the murder of Mohammad Yakub, a wholesale cereal trader in Malgodown area on November 12, 2014,” he said.
A special team raided the railway station this morning on a tip-off and arrested him while he was trying to flee the neighbouring state, he said.
A country-made pistol and two live bullets were seized from his possession.
The prime accused in the case, Arif Khan, was arrested earlier, the CP added.
