Mumbai: ‘Bigg Boss 18’ winner Karan Veer Mehra and contestant Chum Darang’s closeness became the talk of the town after they participated in the Salman Khan-hosted reality show.
The duo sparked dating rumours when they hung out even after the show came to an end.
Putting an end to speculations, Karan proposed Chum and made their relationship official on Valentine’s Day.
In an interview with Brut India, Karan left his fans elated and curious by sharing his wedding plans with Chum.
Karan, who has been unlucky in marriage twice, shared that he is hesitant to pop the question to Chum, as people might think marriage for him is like ‘cutting a birthday cake every year.’
“With Chum and me right now, we are starting afresh. We are starting how we started in Bigg Boss, we are meeting, ‘Hello, hi kaise ho?’ because there are different tasks and different obstacles that we will go through in this Bigg Boss house (outside) which is abnormal. I call it abnormal, that (Bigg Boss) was normal,” Karan said.
He added, “So, we are taking it slow because she also has a past, I have a past. There are opinions here and there. There will be 100 messages and people saying something, so how do we cope with this is going to be our challenge right now.”
On wedding plans, Karan explained, “Now, I don’t look nice while talking about marriage because people will get confused that I am getting married or cutting birthday cake every year. So, as Salman sir said the choice always lies with the girl.”
For those who are unaware, Karan married childhood sweetheart, Devika Mehta in 2009. After nine years, they parted ways in 2018.
Three years later, Karan tied the knot for the second time with actress Nidhi Seth in 2021. After two years, the couple fell out of love and parted ways.
