Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 214 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, the highest in a day since January 15.
The state had last reported more than today’s number on January 14 when 222 people were found infected.
According to the I & PR department, the fresh cases have been detected in 24 districts of the state.
Among them, 126 are from quarantine and 88 local contact cases.
Khurda has reported the highest of 33 cases followed by Sundargarh (25), while Cuttack and Balagir have reported 20 cases each.

With this, the COVID-19 tally in Odisha has touched 339460. With 336337 having recovered from the infection, the state now has 1151 active cases.
