Bhubaneswar: The daily caseload fell below 200 in the Odisha capital on Friday for the first time after several weeks.
The city has been witnessing 200 plus cases since October 11, prior to which a daily spike of over 300 cases was being reported.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 189 fresh cases have been detected in the last 24 hours taking the affected tally to 28,299.
Among them, 47 are quarantine and 142 local contact cases.
The 24 hours also saw two more deaths while 267 patients recovered from the infection.
With 148 deaths and 25,619 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 2511 active cases.
