Bhubaneswar: Odisha continued to witness a dip in daily COVID-19 caseload as 7,291 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, ending at 9 am on Monday, against 8,520 cases on Sunday, 8,845 cases on Saturday, and 9,833 cases on Friday.
Among the new cases, 954 are in the age group of 0-18 years.
According to the I & PR Department, 4,226 of the fresh infections are from quarantine and 3,065 local contacts. Khurda remains on top with 1,705 cases.

The last 24 hours also saw a drop in COVID testing by 17 per cent. The state had been testing over 70,000 samples for the past few days, but the number dropped to 61,969 on Sunday, taking test positivity rate (TPR) to 11.76 per cent against 11.74 per cent the previous day when 72,524 samples were tested and 8,520 among them found positive.
