Bhubaneswar: The day temperature in Odisha is likely to rise by 2-4 degree Celsius during the next 2 days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Saturday.
The weather agency has warned of thunderstorm with lightning at one or two places in Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Gajpati and Ganjam districts till 8.30 am on Sunday. Light to moderate rain is also likely in these districts.
Dry weather may prevail across the state during the subsequent 24 hours.
According to the midday bulletin, Light to moderate rain may resume at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput and Rayagada districts on April 7. There is a yellow warning of thunderstorm/lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph for one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Sundargarh on April 8 and Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajpati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Sundargarh on April 9. These districts are also likely to experience light to moderate rain on these two days.
While there is no warning thereafter, light to moderate rain may continue at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajpati, Nabarangpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Sundargarh on April 10 and Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Koraput and Rayagada on April 11, with little change in the weather conditions during the subsequent three days.
