DCP Bhubaneswar Tweets DoT Portal To Check SIM Cards Issued Under Single Aadhaar; Here’s What Users Say

Bhubaneswar: The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has of late launched a portal via which one can check how many mobile numbers are registered against a single Aadhaar card.

However, the service, called Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management and Consumer Protection (TAFCOP), is currently available only for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana users, according to the website.

However, an announcement was also made from the DCP Bhubaneswar’s Twitter handle urging people to check.

“Details of all SIM cards purchased with your Aadhaar number in your name can be found at the site below. Among them you can block SIM cards that stealthily use your Aadhaar number without your knowledge.” DCP Bhubaneswar wrote on Twitter.

The post earned replies in which users had shared mixed reactions. For a few, it was working while for others the service refused to work.

“The portal is not working as mentioned above. I cannot understand the purpose of this portal. It should work in the following order Input Aadhar > Receive OTP> Display List of all Ph Num associated. But it’s working like Input Ph # > OTP> Display Same Phone Number Only,” a user replied.

“Still not available for Odisha.. It is only working for Andhra & Telengana.. Before tweet your team need to be check once is it working or not.. by d way good initiative,” said another tweet.

Another user wrote, “Don’t blame others if you don’t have checked . Put your number on the website and look out it’s working good.”
