Deogarh: A retired forester was arrested after the Forest Department recovered a deer skin and peacock feathers from his residence at Aksharshila village under Barkote police limits in Odisha’s Deogarh district.
The retired official has been identified as Kishore Chandra Pradhan.

According to sources, one deer skin and 17 peacock feathers were seized during the raid. Pradhan was taken into custody under provisions of the Wildlife (Protection) Act for illegal possession of protected wildlife articles. He will be produced in court after a medical examination, the Forest Department informed on Monday, adding that further inquiry is underway.
