“Feeling very good being here. I said I will return soon… Here I am,” said Kejriwal, clad in an olive T-shirt, as hundreds of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers cheered vociferously on seeing their leader walk out of jail at 7 pm.

Thanking Lord Hanuman for the blessings, Kejriwal announced that he would visit the Hanuman Temple at Connaught Place at 11 am on Saturday before holding a press conference at the party office at 1 pm.

“Our country is more than 4,000 years old. But whenever anyone tried to impose dictatorship on this country, people never tolerated it. Today the country is passing through a period of dictatorship. I am fighting against it. But 140 crore people will have to come together and defeat the dictatorship. Tomorrow at 11 am, I will go to the Hanuman Temple at Connaught Place to seek blessings of Lord Hanuman and at 1 pm, we will address a press conference at the party office, and in the evening, I will participate in a roadshow in South Delhi,” Kejriwal announced from te open-top vehicle.

He went to gate No. 3 and addressed the supporters.

Kejriwal was granted interim bail by the Supreme Court on Friday in view of the Lok Sabha elections.

As per conditions of the interim bail, Kejriwal can’t visit the CM’s office or the Secretariat, won’t discharge any chief ministerial duty and will surrender to return to jail on June 2.

Kejriwal was arrested by Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money-laundering case linked to the now-scrapped controversial Delhi liquor policy. After being in ED custody for about 12 days, Kejriwal was sent to Tihar Jail on April 3.
