Delete Close-Up Steamy Scenes & Replace Word ‘Vastra’: CBFC To Ranbir Kapoor’s Film ‘Animal’
New Delhi: The Censor Board’s certificate to Ranbir Kapor’s ‘Animal’ has been leaked online. It reads: “Modified the intimate visuals of Vijay and Zoya by deleting the close-up shots at TCR 02:28:37.”
The Central Board of Film Certification gave the film an Adults Only (A) certificate and asked director Sandeep Reddy Vanga to make five changes. One of them is to reduce the length of the intimate scenes.
The directive hints that Ranbir and Rashmika Mandanna’s characters might be named Vijay and Zoya. Sandeep Reddy Vanga had already hinted that the duo share a few intimate scenes when he released the song, Hua Main. Apart from this directive, the Censor Board has also asked the filmmaker to replace the Hindi word vastra with costume. Check out all the changes directed to Animal by the CBFC:

In an interview with The Hindu, the director said he was happy that Animal has got an A certificate and as the film is made only for adults. He added that he would not be taking his own son to watch the film.
Animal is spread across a duration of 3 hours 23 minutes. Speaking about the length, the filmmaker said, “The first cut of Animal was 3 hours 45 or 46 minutes. I chopped till 3:21. I have seen the film multiple times and it is an engaging film. Ranbir is a great performer and will not let the audience relax for a second. My job is done when the producer is confident of getting his money back with some profit.”
