Cuttack: A fresh dengue case was detected in Cuttack district on Thursday morning after a man tested positive for the vector-borne disease.
The patient, identified as Kanhu Charan Reddy of Ranihat in the district, was suffering from fever and visited a nearby hospital for treatment. Following tests, doctors found dengue virus in his blood.
On being informed, a medical team and Cuttack Municipal Commissioner rushed to the patient’s house and took stock of the situation there.
On June 29, Surya Behera of New Bus Stand area in Berhampur was admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital after being tested positive for dengue.
