Dengue Fails To Dampen Kangana Ranaut’s I-Day Spirit
Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut is suffering from dengue and confined to her home. But that didn’t deter her spirit as she celebrated India’s 75th Independence Day.
The actress posted two videos in her Instagram stories where she is seen with the Indian flag. She shared a note in which she said that even though she couldn’t leave her room because of her illness, she was buoyed by the spirit of Independence Day.
Sitting on the sofa and waving the Indian flag, Kangana captioned the first video wishing everyone a ‘Happy Independence Day’.
Her other Instagram Stories showed her in bed, with a cannula in her arm.
“Couldn’t get out of my room lekin the spirit of national celebration has taken over me in the most empowering way. From my home staff, nurses and gardeners all congratulating each other, I heard Honourable Prime Minister’s speech this morning,” she wrote.
Dengue has halted Kangana’s work as director and actor for her upcoming film ‘Emergency’.
In her second directorial venture after ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, Kangana will be playing former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi who declared emergency in the country on June 25, 1975.
