Guwahati: Bollywood actor Rohit Basfore was found murdered near a waterfall in the Garbhanga forest in Assam on Sunday evening. Bansfore, known for his role in the series ‘Family Man 3’ had several injury marks on his body, the police confirmed.
Basfore had apparently returned to Guwahati from Mumbai a few months ago. His family said that he left for a day’s outing with friends on Sunday. He left home around 12.30 pm but family members lost contact with him after the evening.
Later, a friend informed the family of an accident. Relatives contacted the State Disaster Response Force and his body was taken to a hospital.
The family alleged that Basfore was murdered by four of his friends. It was a premeditated murder, relatives claimed. They said that the actor had got involved in a dispute regarding parking a few days ago and three of the accused had threatened him with death. The three accused have been identified as Ranjit Basfore, Ashok Basfore, and Dharam Basfore.
Relatives have also named one Amardeep, owner of a gym, who apparently invited Basfore to the outing.
“An autopsy was performed at Guwahati Medical College Hospital on Monday. Multiple injuries were discovered on the body, including wounds on his head, face, and other parts. We are investigating the case, but the four accused are on the run,” a police official said.
