Dense Fog Warning Continues For Odisha; Rain To Resume From Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: Dense fog enveloped Cuttack, Paradip and Kendrapada, while the state capital Bhubaneswar experienced shallow to moderate fog on Tuesday morning.

According to the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD), dense fog may continue in some parts of the state for another two days. Yellow warning has been issued for one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, and Kandhamal districts till 8.30 am on Wednesday. Similar warning has been sounded for one or two places in Kandhamal, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Rayagada, Cuttack, and Jagatsinghpur during the subsequent 24 hours.

The weather agency has also forecast light to moderate rain at some places during the next 3 days.

FEB 14: At one or two places in Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda,Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Sambalpur, Deogarh, and Bargarh district.

FEB 15: A few places in North Odisha, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khurda, Puri, Ganjam and at one or two places in remaining districts of Odisha.

FEB 16: A few places in South Coastal Odisha, Koraput, Rayagada, Nawarangpur and at one or two places in North Coastal Odisha.

Dry weather is likely to prevail across the state thereafter with no large change in the night temperature at many places during next 4-5 days.

Semiliguda in Koraput was the coldest place in the state at 11.1 degree Celsius in the last 24 hours, followed by G Udayagiri in Kandhamal at 11.3 degree Celsius. The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack saw a slight rise in temperature with 19.1 and 19 degree Celsius, respectively. The cities had recorded 18 degree Celsius the previous day.
