Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department has issued dense fog warning for some districts of Odisha for the next two days.
The Met Centre, Bhubaneswar has issued yellow warning for dense fog over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jajpur and Bhadrak for the next two days.
Accordingly, the Special Relief Commissioner’s office has issued advisory to district collectors and SPs asking police and transport officials to take necessary steps for controlled plying of vehicles to avoid road accidents.
According to the IMD, dry weather will prevail in most parts of Odisha over the next two days. Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Bhadrak.
However, there will be no major change in night temperature which will remain above normal by 3 to 4 degrees.
In coastal Odisha, the night temperature will remain 2 to 3 degrees above normal during the next 3 to 4 days. The minimum temperature is likely to fall gradually by three to four degrees thereafter, the IMD bulletin stated.
