Cuttack: After around three months, the Baba Dhabaleshwar temple at Athagarh in Cuttack district reopened for the public on Friday.
Sources said the shrine opened early on Friday and all the morning rituals were performed.
Later, the devotees were allowed into the temple. However, they were not allowed to bring offerings inside the shrine.
The shrine will remain open from 6 am to 8 pm daily, sources said.
The use of masks and maintaining social distancing is mandatory.
Besides, only 50 devotees at a time will be allowed to go to the Jhula bridge (hanging bridge).
Children below 10 years, pregnant women and elderly people (above 65 years) are not allowed into the temple.
All religious places in Cuttack district, except those under Cuttack Municipal Corporation limits, reopened for devotees.
Earlier, the state government had announced the unlock guidelines for August. It had left the decision to reopen religious places on the respective municipal commissioners and district collectors.
