Dhamnagar Bypoll: Naveen Assures Of Completing Welfare Works In 18 Months During Virtual Campaign

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik on Monday assured the people of Dhamnagar in Odisha’s Bhadrak that his government would strive to complete 5 years’ development work in one and half years in the constituency.

Speaking during a virtual campaign at 13 places for byelection to the Assembly constituency, Naveen said General Elections are around 18 months away. But he would personally see to it that the welfare projects in Dhamnagar are completed during the period.

Seeking support of the voters for BJD’s candidate Abanti Das, he said, “He respects and loves the peace-loving and harmonious people of Dhamangar. BJD has always been with you in the hours of need and will continue to do so in future also.”

Expressing his gratitude to them for their support to the party in the last panchayat and ULB polls, he hoped that they would continue to repose their trust this time also.

He further said the benefits of welfare programmes like KALIA, Mission Shakti and Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) have reached the true beneficiaries of the constituency. “Due to women empowerment programmes of the government like Mission Shakti, they have become economically independent and achieved a new identity. I wish to see a woman as your legislator to work for further development of the area,” he added.

The byelection to constituency is scheduled to be held on November 3.
