Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas minister Dharmendra Pradhan has urged Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to resolve the inter-state border disputes at the earliest.
In a letter, Dharmendra requested Naveen to direct the State Assembly Speaker to convene an all-party meeting and form a house committee to initiate talks with the bordering states of Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand and resolve the issues amicably.
While suggesting the Chief Minister to take legal recourse, if necessary, he said that the state government has to take up the issue seriously to safeguard the socio-economic livelihoods of the people of Odisha.
