Bhubaneswar: A differently-abled minor girl was raped, allegedly, by a middle-aged man at Purrusottampur. The accused, Arun Nayak, has been arrested.
It is reported that Nayak had committed the heinous crime on Sunday when the girl was alone at her home. The girl’s mother had lodged a complaint at the Mancheswar police station following which the arrest was made. Locals have demanded strict action against the accused.

In another case, on June 5, a mentally challenged girl was allegedly raped by her uncle at Krushnachandrapur village in Nayagarh district. The victim’s family members lodged an FIR against the accused at Chandapur police station. Police also conducted raids at various places to nab the accused.
