Cuttack: Forum for Integrated Development and Research (FIDR), a non-profit organisation, in collaboration with Rotary Club of Cuttack on Sunday opened a Digital Literacy & Technology Centre at Patapolo in the city on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
The Centre aims at imparting training on digital technology and computer science to the students belonging to below poverty line in urban areas of the state free of cost. Since use of computer has become an integral part of life, the FIDR hopes that the training will enable them to join the main stream of society.
While the Rotary Club of Cuttack will manage the infrastructure of the Centre, the FIDR will provide computers and related equipment for the training of the students. Several senior members of the Rotary Club and FIDR were present on the occasion.
