Bhubaneswar: The digital poster of ‘Biju Babu’ was released on Wednesday. The film is based on Odisha’s legendary leader, Biju Patnaik’s ideologies, beliefs and philosophy.
The release took place as part of a live music recording session at Saraswata Studios, Khandagiri, conducted by Ollywood composer and music director of the film, Prem Anand. The famous Singhabaja group from Dhenkanal led by Dibya, performed live to the signature track of the movie.
Speaking on the occasion, presenter-cum-producer of the movie Dr Nila Madhab Panda, said, “I’ve always been a proud Odia and it is a matter of immense pride for me to present to my state my first Odia feature film, that too, named after our leader Biju Babu. In this movie, we’ve tried to capture the essence of everything he stood for and fought for, all for the sake of us Odia people. The film will be released close to Utkal Divas, on March 29.”
He also said, “The audience will get to see a fresh perspective of Odia nationalism, captured in a modern storytelling style.
The lead actors are superstar Anubhav Mohanty and Supriya Nayak. This film is co-produced by Manav Rath, Barnali Rath and Anuj Tyagi. The story, screenplay and direction are by Devi Prasad Lenka and Vishal Mourya.
