Chandigarh: Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh joined a farmers’ protest at the Delhi border on Saturday. Apart from showing solidarity with the farmers, Dosanjh has reportedly donated Rs 1 crore to buy warm clothes for the protesters.
According to India Today, Punjabi singer Singga on his Instagram stories revealed that the Udta Punjab actor made the generous donation but chose not to make a “big deal” out of it.
“Thank you brother, you gave Rs 1 crore for the farmers, for their warm clothes, and nobody knows. You didn’t post about it. Nowadays people can’t shut up after donating Rs 10,” Singga said in Punjabi while expressing his gratitude.
