Does Amitabh Bachchan’s Police Bodyguard Earn Rs 1.5 Cr Per Year? Why Was He Transferred?

Mumbai: Days after it was discovered that megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s bodyguard, Jitendra Shinde is earning Rs 1.5 crore annually, he has been transferred and a departmental inquiry has also been initiated into the said matter, India Today reported.

Constable Shinde, attached with the Mumbai police department, was posted as a bodyguard for Amitabh Bachchan. He has been serving as a bodyguard to Big B for the past several years.

Defending the income, Shinde told police officials that his wife runs a security agency as well. India Today quoted sources as saying that the security agency provides security to several other celebrities and renowned people.

According to Mumbai Police, a cop cannot be deployed in one place for more than five years. Jitendra Shinde has been working for Amitabh Bachchan since 2015. Bachchan is an X security holder. Two constables are always posted with him. Shinde was one of Bachchan’s favourite bodyguards. He was seen with him at all places. The constable is now transferred to a police station in South Mumbai, the report added.
