Brahmagiri/Paradip: The annual dolphin census began simultaneously at Astarang in Puri and Kujang in Jagatsinghpur district on Saturday.
The Wildlife Division, Puri, began the head count of the dolphins along the Arakhakuda-Astarang coast in which 10 teams of forest staff and wildlife experts are engaged.
Similarly, the Wildlife Division, Jagatsinghpur, began the dolphin census between the Mahanadi confluence and Devi confluence with two teams, having eight forest staff and experts.
