Bhubaneswar: Police have arrested a 22-year-old household help for allegedly sexually assaulting his employer and her minor daughter in Bhubaneswar.
The accused has been identified as Saroj Kumar Behera of Nipania under Tamaka police limits in Jajpur district. He worked in a house near Rabi Talkies square within Badagada police limits.
According to police sources, the accused secretly captured objectionable videos and photographs of the 40-year-old woman and her 14-year-old daughter at their home where he took up work recently. He then blackmailed them separately with none being aware of the other’s ordeal. He allegedly raped the duo on multiple occasions in the last few weeks by threatening to make their obscene photos and videos viral.
Recently, he revealed photographs of the daughter after the woman refused him money. Soon, the woman also found that her daughter was also being targeted. The accused also sent the photographs to her husband and threatened them not to report the matter to police.
The woman filed a police complaint on Saturday, leading to his arrest on Sunday.
Investigation revealed that the accused had a previous assault case registered against him in Jajpur.
