Door-To-Door Survey Launched To Trace COVID-19 Cases In Odisha’s Jeypore

Jeypore: Teams of Health workers and a teacher, formed by the Koraput district administration, have started door-to-door survey here to trace the people with COVID-19 symptoms.

Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) of Koraput Makaranda Beura said 98 teams have been formed to conduct the survey. Each team will be supervised by a medical officer.

“The team members comprising an ANM, an Asha worker, An Anganwadi worker, a Swasthya Sathi and a teacher will visit each house in each ward of the town. If they detect anybody having COVID-19 symptoms, he/she will be referred to COVID hospital for antigen test,” said Beura.

The administration has provided a screening metre, sanitiser, mask and hand gloves to each team. Earlier, the door-to-door survey was conducted in Koraput municipality.

Meanwhile, the district administration has imposed shutdown in Jeypore Municipality for four days till July 28.

Koraput has reported 451 COVID-19 cases so far. While 162 patients have recovered from the disease, 289 are active cases.
