Sambalpur: Driver of a truck was trapped inside the vehicle after it skidded off the road and hung precariously from a bridge near Kandhara village in Rairakhol area of Odisha’s Sambalpur district on Monday.
According to sources, the mishap took place around 5 am when the ill-fated truck was transporting sand from the Mahanadi riverbank.
The driver, Ramesh Dehuri, was later rescued after five-hour operation by Fire Services personnel using cutter machine. He was then admitted to a health facility at Rairakhol, sources added.
