Bhubaneswar: The commissionerate police collected hefty fines from people for drunken driving during New Year Eve celebrations in the city on Tuesday night.
To keep a close watch on reckless driving, police had put up roadblocks at different places in the city. Police derained many drunken drivers at these places and penalised them with hefty fines.
Some people even rode their bikes without helmets.
